A den, not a stage
The Velvet Den is a stock, options, swing and day trading community that runs on Discord, built on one conviction: people lose money because they trade alone. The server is free to enter, every call carries its reasoning, and everyone’s read counts, from the newest member to the person running the room.
Why the door stays open
Most rooms in this niche sell access to information. The Den was built the other way around: the room itself is free, because a trader reading alone at 2am makes worse decisions than one who can say a thesis out loud and have it challenged before the open.
The paid floor exists so the analysts can run real alert desks: every call with its entry, targets, stop and why, and every loss written up in the post-mortem room where it teaches somebody. Nothing here promises an outcome. Everything here is education, argued in the open.
I am 44, and I am just your average Joe, same as you.
MIT for undergrad, then a masters and a PhD in physics at Yale. Father of three, twin girls among them, plus two dogs and a cat. Most of my spare time goes on talking shit and arguing about the tape.
I believe I am capable of anything. I believe you are too.
The house rules
- I
The door stays open. Free means free. There is no bait tier.
- II
Every read counts. A small account sees things a big one never will, and the other way around.
- III
Say why. A call without reasoning is a guess with a ticker attached.
- IV
Losses get written up. The post-mortem room rewards a loss explained.
- V
Nobody is above being taught. Not the newest member, not the person running the room.
THE PARTNERSHIP
The Velvet Den is built in collaboration with Sinux Group, whose Sinux Signals platform tracks every call live. The site is designed by Sinux Consulting.
